Let me put my mind into a position if I was a football player. I would probably never succeed because the only thing that is going through my mind is that I have got a whole bunch of people running to come and attack me. But my main perspective about the helmet is that it is there to protect you. It doesn’t completely block you from brain damage , but it does somewhat of a job. Lastly, the helmet is what represents you on the field and the first is your jersey.
The helmet is your protector and your guider on the field. Let’s think about what would happen to you if you didn’t have your helmet on. Think about the bruises and blood you would be exposed to on the field. Also your helmet could protect you from the weather. Say for instance if its snowing you worry about that getting in your face. If its raining of thundering you have to worry about that.
Then lastly if its too hot! The helmet can protect you from sunburn or just protect you from the sun in general. So do you see now the helmet has advantages and disadvantages. But, if it was left up to me I wouldn’t play that type of sport. Or even where that helmet because could even imagine how many brain cells they are losing.
I like how you explained what will happen if you didn't have a helmet. You also had good reasons on why should the player wear a helmet. You also showed the purpose of wearing a helmet. This kinda sounds like your convincing us to wear a helmet when we play football. Good job on stating your reasons and evidence.-Gloria Arroyo A3/B3
As a helmet it’s my job to protect the lives of many people. It’s my job to make sure everyone is ok, I enjoy it because I’ve saved many lives. This job isn’t easy, but I can’t complain because this is what I’m made for.
At the games it’s a challenge, and I say so because I constantly get banged against and slammed on, so I have tons of scratches on me. With me being so hard and thick so I can protect the head of people, yet it isn’t a 100% chance that I can save a lot of people who has been hit their head are; which isn’t always a good outcome. Many players playing football has unfortunately had concussion, and they weren't physically able to play. One concussion had lead to dangerous future life effects. It’s very unbelieveable, for I’m made out of a thick plastic shell which an abundant amount of padding in the inside.
My goal throughout the game it to save all the players from hurting themselves. It’s very heartbreaking to know that I can’t save everyone’s life. While at the games there’s no time to play, for it’s a very serious event because many people are risking their lives. So if I’m not at the games the games wouldn’t go on, for I’m not there to help. Everyone depends on me, and for that I love my job.
I really liked how you explained you gave reasons on why being a helmet is hard. You were also really specific on the kinds of injuries that people get. I loved that your post had a serious tone to it. Also, I like that you didn't sound redundant in your writing. Your post also gave me a different perspective of a helmet's life.
As a helmet, I am supposed to protect my wearer's head during a game of football. I am not appreciated for my job most of the time, but I don't need to be thanked since I always help out on the field. My job, however, is not easy.
During a football game, I constantly slam into an enemy helmet for most of the game. Neither I or the enemy helmet leave without cracks and scratches after each game. Although I'm made of a thick material, I can still feel the pain of headbutting other helmets, and my partner can feel this as well despite my efforts in protecting his head. My colleauges do no better than I can to help the team. One of my allies couldn't stop his partner from getting a large bruise on the left side of his forehead. It is a dangerous job, but we do what must be done to win.
Despite the dangers, I have a lot of fun during a football game. During each break, I would mingle with the other helmets to see how they did during the game. Most of them were showing off their "victory scars", showing their bravery and toughness. Some of the helmets were so mangled that they barely spoke, and when they did, their speech was slurred and muted. As I said, my job is dangerous, but even if we win or lose, we give it our all to protect our players.
I agree with you on how a helmet is used to protect its wearers head during the game. It is hard to be a helmet , you do a lot of work for each game you play in. I also agree on how it takes toughness and bravery because going up and playing people you havnt is scary. It takes a lot to live a helmet life. You have showed both ways on how its rough but at the same time some what fun.
I agree with you on what your are saying about the helmet and its purpose of it for the football player during a game. I also would agree with how it's a risky job but also that the players are able to depend on you during the brightest and darkest games. Tyra Williams Ms. Wright A/B3
A helmet, I am suppose to protect the one that i am on with.As my duty to do i am suppose to be the cause where my person is not suppose to be with an injury. When i get in the field i am running and running feeling nervous of not doing my duty. I decide whether i am suppose to be the bad luck or good luck , and it all depends whether i am going to protect the head. As a result i am it is always my job to protect it. Remembering my job i would always serve my duty, But when i am off duty i will be surely waiting to be put on again for the next game. Since no game there will be no action. No actions means no pressure, because i can bring nervous thoughts about the kind of things that will happen.I am what represents the game along with the companion of the football. The football is what i am trying to go for,and what i am trying to get to in my persons arms. I am what when running protect my players head when being tackled into the ground preventing it from getting a concussion and dyeing. The purpose of the helmet can be surely not that much ,but when wearing it you can feel like you are in a game. when you are in a game you kind of feel nervous,Yet at the same time you can be furious in wanting to score a touchdown at the other side of the field. It is not about the game. It’s about the safety, and the way you play it with discipline.you can choose your part, But mines is to protect.
Be the helmet ⇒ Your are now the helmet, and you’re placed on top of a blond .. Or brunet? Whatever the point is that you’ll be the protection of someones head, so it will be painful. Helmets are meant to protect people from having any head injuries, but have they considered the helmet? Course they don’t! They think you don’t have feelings of any sort. We’ll too bad for you, so you’re going to take the pain in as always.
Oh no, the game started, my god look at all those helmets! Hey, ain't that cousin Jerry? Well isn't that wi- Agh! God that hurted! Oh here comes a ginger- OH MY GOD THAT HURTS! Ugh, what the fudge kid?! Don’t you see my pain?! Course you don’t. Even do I’m over your head, you can’t sense a single thing of me. Well, we’re no where near half time, so here comes a dark haired, OW!!
Okey, tackle him! BAM! Yes - OW! Even do I’m the helmet and experiencing so much pain, I’m also happy our team is winning, puts the pain at some value. Besides, I’m glad other helmets get to suffer, its football people! Not Baseball, those guys don’t have pain at all! They only get hit if the owner does not know how to catch or when the player doesn’t know how to hit. On the other side, we experience pain through the entire game, hitting one another, clashing, banging, all the good stuff, but that doesn’t bo- OH MY GOD WE WON!!! Wait a go blondie! Now, time to go home! Hey isn't that yo- OW! Hey! Helmet on the ground! Like I said before, they don’t see or feel our pain, but I’m proud of the kid.
Dear Reader, I really like your blog, because it had a lot of intresting fun ways to learn how a helmet feels. I can connect to this because this blog reminds me of how when i get hit and no one notices and it really hurts it makes me feel mad. Helmets when they are in the fields, however are hurt even more and no one really knows how they feel. This makes me keep my perspective of how helmets are helpful for football players they are very useful! Sincerly Blanca Cruces A2/B2
This was a really good blog; I like the way you wrote as if the helmet was talking, and that was creative. You made your blog interesting and not boring. It's full of excited, from how the helmet is hurt, to how the helmets is excited because of it's help of protection his team is winning. Your blog makes me think of how much helmets really go through, and if it weren't for the helmets a lot of people would be injured, or the game wouldn't be played at all. What I also like it that your didn't get off topic talking about a different sport, you were consisted with the purpose of the blog. Best, Andrianna Mickey A3-B3
I also really like your blog I agree with Blanca Cruces . That it did have interesting fun ways to learn how a helmet feels. Even though I don't like the sport football because it looks dangerous. Just by reading your blog you make me want to put a helmet on and play he sport. Lastly good job and keep up the good work.
I really like your blog because I would have never thought of it this way. The way you explained it made me feel so enthusiastic. This is much different mine. You had fun with it ,and you didn't make it so boring. This reminds me of when I had to write a story giving objects human characteristics just like the way you did on this. Mine is similar to yours because both of our helmets are talking. Sincerely, Priscilla Acosta A/B3
Dear Reader, As a helmet I am suppose to protect any violent sport games so they would not get a concussion. If I do not do this in hockey or in football then athletic people would be seriously hurt.I have down my job very well, and never let anybody get hurt badly like in the past. People would use a helmet when they are riding a bike so when they fall off they would not be injure or be at a hospital. When a car accidentally hits you the helmet might save your life because you would hit the floor on your back or with your head.
During a hockey game the helmet supports the puck from hitting the head or hurting your teeth. Without this many hockey player that are well know would be seriously injure because I did not do my job well enough. Since each hockey player needs a helmet, yet they might get injure but not server. With clothing that they have they are well protect from a puck that is going at full speed. If you did not have me in your game you might not survive the puck coming at you, but with me you would survive anything that is coming at you.
In a football game you would also need helmet because when your opponent comes at you at full speed and knock you over your head might be the one would hit the ground first which would hurt if with out a helmet. If the football hits you in the head when you are not wearing a helmet then you would end up with a concussion. With the help of a helmet you would always be safe, and not be in pain like you would after a though game against your enemy. So good luck, win the game, and make sure you are always wearing a helmet even if it is at a practice game. -Kassandra Munoz A2/B2
This post's perspective makes me think of the topic a new way, I wrote the helmet's point of view and this post is a narrator/character point of view. So this post is giving me another perspective of the helmet in its point of view.
I agree that helmets prevent concussions. I think that's the most important thing a helmet helps to do. Because if the players had concussions frequently, they would have to be hospitalized and they could have brain damage, and that's where the helmet comes in place, to prevent that.
I agree that a helmet is a very useful tool in sports . That involve in attacking you partner. Such as the sports like football and hockey. I could imagine if a lot of these players did not have a helmet what their cells would look like on the inside. So I very strongly agree with you on this post.
A football helmet is meant to protect people from bad head injury. So I would have to like my job since that is what I was made to do. I take a big toll but never complain because that is what i would enjoy doing. Also because most players treat their helmet with respect and care for it.
I have a hard job since I am constantly get hit and sometimes thrown around. I still have a very important job because people would die if it was not for helmets. I still don't protect a football player a 100%, but I do my job as best possible. I still enjoy my job very much not only because some people recognize me, but because I have fun and also get to hit other helmets and even other players. I have my scars, but I am proud of them because they are a symbol of victory.
Whenever I go out into the field, I feel the adrenaline and such power because I can do so much damage as well as protection. I am connected to the player. The player needs to feel like I am a part of them. Most players take pride in their helmets. Just like they do with their jersey. Players are recognized not just cause they play football, but also because of their helmet and jersey.
I kind of disagree with what you said in your first paragraph. I say this because most players don't really treat their helmets with care and respect because the helmets are used to get dirty, get scratched up, and block everything from getting to the players head. However, you did state what I believe is true at the start of your second paragraph. I guess I do agree with your perspective of a helmet than.
Dear Reader, Its not easy being a helmet. Everything that goes on in the game i can see, even the fouls. My role as part of a football equipment team is to protect the player. With out me the player would seriously get hurt and have a terrible concussion. Why am i so important? Well thats because i help the players head hold in place as he/she falls in the ground. I am made of very hard fabrics in order to keep the player comfortable and safe. But its not easy to be a helmet. Whenever the player falls im there to protect their head but it really hurts for me. The harder they tackle the person the more it hurts. One thing that i like is that i can feel the breeze coming from the player who runs. But everything haves to stop when they tackle the person. I also shake a lot, from all of the players running they just wobble making me dizzy sometimes. But other than that i love my job because sometimes i come out on t.v but its my duty to protect the player and i love it! SIncerly Blanca Cruces A2/B2
My job is to protect a lot of guys heads while they are slamming into each other. I have had to save many lives during the game. It is a very hard job because if someone hits with their helmet the wrong way the challenger can get seriously injured.
I am in every single game which means that I get bang around many times over, and over again. I think my job is a real challenge because I cant always protect everyone. People whose every played the game knows that even with the helmet on they can still get. They can gets major headaches these specific ones are called concussion. Many players get them very often ,but that's what i am their for. To protect the players. Imagine if I was not there to protect they. There would be a lot of dead players.
My job through out the game is to protect every player that is out there. The fans are very shocked and scared if someone gets tackled and does not get up. Would if he is on the floor from getting an concussion. That would be on me because that is my job and I will never choose to do anything else in the word. I am getting better and better every year of football. I am always getting safe to protect the lives of the players. Ricardo Velez A/B 2
This response is well written as the perspective of the helmet and the pain the helmet goes through to protect its wearer. This response in particular though describes a very protective helmet who will at any costs protect the player's head, this is similar to mine in a way since both our responses describe the hardships of the helmets protection. This made me think of the topic in not a new way but gave me more of an idea of what the helmet really would think of the player. I also think the way you stated your response is quite well in case of describing the quality work the helmet does.In the end the way you put yourself as a helmet was realistic and well though out throughout your response.
I love how described life as a helmet. i think you did a great job showing how you could have fun and enjoy it very much. I love you you said positive things. I think its great that you said its hard but each time you play a game you keep getting better and better. You did a great job of showing how a helmet life is and it helped me unerstand what it could be like if i was a helmet
I am a helmet who protects and serves any human. My team is great and has lots of other helmets just like me. I am special for the fact that I have my wearers name inscribed on the out rim in some sort of black ink, along with a phrase which I can't really read. It's pretty tough being a helmet out in the field and in practice, I usually take the beating, yet, my wearer's doesn't really care about me as much as his head. Others usually survive such beating out in the field, but sometimes it isn't always like that at all.
In practice runs with human beings I am always used to protect my wearer's head, but sometimes the player neglects me and goes without my protection. Other helmets like me hate being tossed around in practice, or out in the field when a play is on. I, on the other hand, like it when this happens since I get to sort of fly though the air and enjoy myself. At other times I hate it when I am left alone in a dark room or closet, nor do I ever wanna be away from my player. After all he practice is done the real fight comes into play when a game is assigned for the team.
As the players come out into the field, and my coating of color shimmers I gaze out onto the crowd as they cheer on for the opponents and my team of helmets. Some say it is scary when the humans line up ready to pass the ball, because of the intensity of not knowing when you might be injured, or dented even. Even though everyone knows that helmets like me are almost impossible to penetrate or even break, since that is my job of course, and the same goes for others like me. Usually about mid game helmets like me get a break from the action, but some aren't as lucky and stay on field through the whole game just so the team can win. In the end, every helmet can agree that being a helmet in the first place is a tough and difficult job, but at least were lucky enough not to be a football, now that's a different story.
I like how you point out the neglect and disrespect of a helmet is given by its wearer, yet it enjoys going on the field, doing what it must do to protect and serve. This essay is similar to mine, but your essay is much more in depth in a helmet's perspective. This is a beautiful piece of work that cannot be rivaled in its perfection.
A helmet, I am suppose to protect the one that i am on with.As my duty to do i am suppose to be the cause where my person is not suppose to be with an injury. When i get in the field i am running and running feeling nervous of not doing my duty. It is not about the game. It’s about the safety, and the way you play it with discipline.you can choose your part, But mines is to protect.
During a football game it is my job to protect the player from any harm that can happen during the game. I feel like I failed if I ever don’t do my job right, but the player doesn’t know I feel bad. I really like my job because I get a front row seat of the game and I am part of the action.
I don’t always fail. In fact I think I have only failed twice, but two times is too much for me already I don’t like it I just feel like one day the player is going to throw me out because I don’t have the same quality as before, when he/she got me. I know my quality doesn’t last forever but it hurts me too when you throw me out.
The games I am in are fun because I get to do only one job protect the player. But since I am helping out the team I feel like I am a big part of the team. I am actually without me the game wouldn’t even be happening because it would not be safe to play without helmets. Edwin Hernandez Period. 2
My perspective would not match with this perspective i would say this because a being a helmet isn't that fun as others think. a helmet isn't just a protector, its is kind of like humans who have to take one for the team. a helmet goes through a lot of troubles as a player is having fun playing in the game, but he doesn't realize is that the helmet has to deal with that players sweat and getting hit constantly non-stop during the game. a person would say being a helmet would be cool because you get to see the game up close, but a helmet would say his/her job sucks because they are the ones taking the damage and not the players. that is why both our perspectives don't match.
I disagree with you. I don't think a helmet can fail, but it can get damaged in multiple ways such as being tackled and getting scratches and other such things. I also don't think a helmet goes through much fun considering the fact that it is constantly getting injured through out a game or even practice. I do, however, agree with the statement you made with the helmet being a big part of the game because without helmets, football probably wouldn't exist. So, I both agree and disagree.
Dear Reader, As a helmet I play a big roll in the game, but some people may not think that. I protect the players from getting injured, I help them take down their opponent. I help the players to be able to play the next game or the whole season. Without me they could get seriously hurt. They could get concussions, so I am there for them. Although, my job may seem dangerous it is also exhilarating. I get to feel speed and I get to be apart of the game, meeting other helmets. And at the end of the game I have dents and bruises all over, yet I still choose to be apart of the game. Also, my job is dangerous and scary because of those big falls to the head. The player feels it, but I feel it more. Those other players can tackle hard, that's for sure. Also, at first it's scary being hit every little while but after awhile I learned to manage. It's good knowing I'm saving a life whenever a player falls hard to the ground, or at least it's what I like to think. All helmets give it their all and don't give up because we want to win the game. Even if we don't win, we at least know we gave it all we got, and we're still a team at the end of the day. Therefore, my job may bring me dents, bruises, and scratches, but I still enjoy myself. Even though my job is risky because I could also get hurt, I know I did to help a player out and protect them. And some people might think my job is dangerous and scary, but I wouldn't trade it for any other job. It's what I love to do.
I like how you show the problems a helmet has to go through and also how a helmet's job to protect a football player's head is very important. You go in depth into the average day of a helmet in a football game, describing the dangers of being a helmet, as well as how loyal and protective a helmet is of its owner. This is an excellent essay about a helmet's perspective. I did something similar to this, describing what is good and what is bad about being a helmet as well as interactions with other helmets. You have made look at the topic in a different way, showing the life-risking tasks of a helmet.
Dear Author, Your perspective is similar to my perspective in almost everything, but have their differences. My helmet doesn’t like his job but accepts it, while your helmet is happy and accepts its task. My helmet doesn’t embrace nor like the pain but they both know they must protect the player. Therefore, both our helmets don’t share the same feelings but have the same ‘values’.
Helmet’s first person: I love what I do, the thrill that I get when my player puts me on his head, when he runs into the stadium and the lights are shining brightly on my head. It all starts there, I’m on his head waiting for the queue, when the coach says it’s time he gets up and I feel like everything is in slow motion, this is my big moment. As we enter the stadium I feel the bright lights reflecting of my back, everyone can see me. I am famous. My player gets on his side, and the ball is kicked. When the ball gets passed to my player, he runs and I feel like I’m soaring. When my player gets the ball, this is where my part comes in. People knock at me and try to knock my player over, but I hold on tight to him. This is my job, to protect him. I stay latched on to him throughout the whole game, especially when he’s running to make a touchdown. As he’s running towards the 50 yard line, I can feel the adrenaline rush through my body. The crowd is jumping, screaming, punching the air. He crosses the line and the crowd roars, I have done my job. All his team mates run to him and pick us up, we are a team! As the team is screaming and laughing. my player takes me off and lifts me up in the air. “YEAAAHHHHH!!” he screams and I can see everyone looking at me, I am appreciated. Damaris Carrasco P2
This perspective does not match my own because in my perspective I put that the helmet is not appreciated. I said it's not because sometimes at the end of games the football players drop the helmet on the ground and then cheer. But it some how does match my perspective because I also said that the helmet loves what it does. Also that it protects the player when the player needs the help.
This perspective doesn't match mine at all. My helmet lacks in confidence when going out on the field to play. This makes me think of the topic in a new exciting way because of how detailed a great descriptions there is. This totally reminds me of the day of my first football game. The way you described it is exactly what the crowd was doing. It makes me feel as of I was at the game because of how well you're description is.
I am your helmet. I am the roof over your head with one window to look through. I am the glasses on your face that helps you get to your goal with getting brain damage. I am the most important gear because I protect you. So I am not just a helmet with the cool logo or the awesome details. No, I am your armor.
I am the one who can let you get hit with getting damaged. I can let you see your path ,so you can get through those silly opponents who think they can hurt you. Yes, they can’t hurt you because before as you duck down crashing head first into the ground. I am the one who takes damage but I don’t break because I am strong.
As you stand up you realize that everybody is cheering and they all saying the same thing “TOUCHDOWN”!!!!!!!! The way you got there safely is by me you protector. Your armor. Jeremiah Williamson A/B2
As a protective gear i’m suppose to keep the head safe and make sure its not going to break. I love being the one to keep the person from getting hurt and suffering in deep brain damage just because they are not wearing me (helmet). During a game i love it when the helmets bud together when some scored a touchdown or tackled someone. its makes me feel like i am a person and have a brain of my own. I feel loved when they get excited when they are about to go on the field and someone hits the top of the helmet.
When the team members throw me on the floor, i feel like they don’t want me anymore and i just want to leave, but i can’t because i am a helmet. My job on the field is to protect the user and make sure i don’t break in half. For me the best part of a game is when i hit the enemy’s helmet and i don't just mean lightly hit i mean hit as hard as i can. Every time i come from a game i always have scratches and in the worst case scenario i even have some paint coming off. Being on the field its a privilege some of the their helmets don’t even make it on the field. After long days of work i love to go with the players and hang out. I love it when the players take me to the school and carry me around all day and show me that i’m much more important then i think i am. My job is very important to me. With out me the players would be in the hospital. Im the main part of the game because i’m always there to protect the people. I also prevent the players from risking their lives and not having to go home. Iliana Barcenas A2/ B2
The beginning of your blog starts of good, I like that instead of saying you get hurt and your in pain with people hit or tackles you, you said that you enjoy getting hit on the head before the game starts. You said, " I feel loved when they get excited when they are about to go on the field and someone hits the top of the helmet." I think that was very original and different from what others said. I can connect to this because I would feel excited if i was a helmet while everyone is getting amp up. This response makes me think of the job of a helmet a different way, because you talked about all positive things a helmet can think of and you listed the thoughts a helmet would have. Best, Andrianna Mickey A3-B3
A football game from the perspective of a helmet is very good because if I was at a football game on a man’s head, I would be excited because I'm very hard to break and i'm protecting someone. I would actually be a little nervous because maybe the football players helmets could smack me so hard that I split open. But I see myself as a protector because i’m protecting someone from getting hurt. I would see myself from the perspective of a helmet as good even though nobody will really notice me because i’m just a random helmet.
A football game from the perspective of a helmet would be great because I get to watch the game so close and feel like people are cheering for me. It would be a good experience to learn how the football players play so well and to learn some strategies on football games. It is also a hard job because I have to try to protect the player with all my armor. Being a helmet is a pretty easy job because all I have to do is protect the player.
Being at a football game in the perspective of a helmet would be a good opportunity for me to be famous for protecting a famous football player’s head. The people would recommend me and my brand of helmet to be worn on to be protected. It would be a horrible experience if the player didn’t know how to play because if the player got hurt he would blame it on me and I would get recommended to not be worn by other people.
i think i would disagree with you yeshua. i mean have you ever thought of all the clashing and banging between one helmet and another. and obviously both mine and your perspectives of how a helmet would actually see everything. i think its perspective would be that it gets pretty annoying having to play numerous times a day. and having to deal with the players sweat everyday would be annoying because now the helmet itself would smell. the way i think a helmet sees everything and the way you think a helmet sees everything wouldn't match because of all the troubles a helmet really has to go through
By putting on a helmet and seeing how it feels like, to see things through the helmet such as football players do. I think it would feel good because by wearing the helmet, means that you have something that is protecting your head, from anything that tries to hurt you up there. And you might feel proud, or even tough because you have seen other people wear these helmets, and now it is your turn to shine as they do, while playing football. Therefore, by playing with other players in football might make you feel nervous or scared, because you’re playing with people that might be stronger than you, or might be a better player than you. Since football players are tough, and play hard, you might feel as if you’re not worth the shot to be like them.
And you might not have confident in yourself to keep up with the other players, or to run the plays the correct way. But as long as you have fun, and try your best to play, you would learn from your mistakes. Become a better that you least were before, because it takes time to be a good player that you can possibly be. So try your hardest, and don’t give up, just because you made a mistake that you can fix in the end.
But once you get used to it, you would feel like a true football player. For example, you would feel as if you’re worth something. Or if every ones attention is focused on you, and you’re trying to stand out, so you could show off to everyone. And let them know how you feel to see things through a football players helmet, and feel how its like to play through their point of view.
Let me put my mind into a position if I was a football player. I would probably never succeed ,but the only thing that is going through my mind is that I have got a whole bunch of people running to come and attack me. But my main perspective about the helmet is that it is there to protect you. It doesn’t completely block you from brain damage , but it does somewhat of a job. Lastly, the helmet is what represents you on the field and the first is your jersey.
The helmet is your protector and your guider on the field ,so let’s think about what would happen to you if you didn’t have your helmet on.
I really like this blog, because i can relate to this blog by on how i feels like to be apart of something that your good at. And to be around people that do he same thing as you like football and how a helmet goes through a lot of things that I didn't realize that it did. - Crystal Coronel A/B2
Me being a helmet I've saved people's lives. They put me on their head; and then they go play their game. It's kind of nice being a helmet; yet, i get scratched and dirtied a lot. They don't take much care of me during the football games. When I come in contact with another person it hurts me more than it hurts them I think; or, maybe not because I'm really hard and solid.. I dont know. But there's some good out of it.
I get to see the football games close up because obviously im like one of the players; and, if it wasn't for me my person would get in a coma or something cause he got hit real hard. But I think my job is really hard. In the beginning of the game i'm very clean; but, at the end I have green grass stains and scratches on myself. I also sometimes get thrown on the floor if my team wins because they are so excited; yet, they dont know it hurts a lot. But now i'll say how I save their live's for every game.
So you know how in football they tackle each other and sometimes pile on each other? Well when that happens I protect their face and head getting messed up or ending up in a coma. I'm happy I save their live's, and by saving their lives they dont really pay me at all. This is what I see and do in a football game. If it wasn't for me the best stars wouldn't be here.
I agree with you that at the end of the game helmets get really dirty and hurt. I believe, It's because of how aggressive the players play. Sometimes the opponents try to hurt us because they don't really like our team or something. That is what I dislike the most throughout the game. Still, it is fun and exciting to play with players.
As a helmet for a football player, I am terrified. Although this job is hard, I don’t complain because that’s why I was made for. I make sure everyone is safe. I am always found on a player’s head, for I protect all the football players from getting a concussion.
When I have games, I am always terrified. A lot of big, heavy players are running up to me. Sometimes they hit me, and I fall and get bruised up. I don’t really mind because I am protecting the other players. Still, soon I will be old and won’t be able to protect them, but I don’t know when that day will come. Therefore, I am not protecting them 100%.
Although I can’t fully protect the players, I am important to the game! No one can start playing unless they put me on. If it wasn’t for me, many players would not be able to play anymore. I am proud to be a helmet because I protect many people, and I make players feel safe. Since I have the team’s design on me, I feel honored to represent the team.
Dear Stephanie, I really liked the way you wrote your blog while i was reading it i was amazed on how you wrote it you explained the way you as the helmet was terrified on being a helmet. When i read it gave me some ideas to what I should write in my blog . This blog was very inspiring and I understood to what you felt terrified about being a helmet I really liked your blog. -Leticia Benitez Period 3
Life as a helmet is hard. Your the first thing that gets hit in a football game. Your placed on someones head, you cant talk or walk. Your not having as much fun as others are, your just stuck there running into other helmets and getting hurt all game long.being a helmet is not as much fun as you might think it may be.Being a helmet is a hard job to do.
Life as a helmet is dangerous and scary. Dangerous because you dont know what the other team is like, you dont know how fast or how hard there going to come at you and smash them self at you.You always going to get hurt but wont matter because you will still have to keep playing. Lots of people dont understand the pain we go threw when we play, they think its fun and cool. Its fun and cool but only for the being of the game and then it starts to get boring and unfun.
Life as a helmet is smelly. Your on someones head, there hair or head touching you with all that sweat and you dont get cleaned very often. I think thats the worst part about it, not getting cleaned and just having the sweat and dirt sit in you night after night smelling it and sleeping in it. The only really thing i like about being a helmet is 1 i get to protect the one i love the most i keep him out of danger and 2 the rush you get when your out in that fled and everyone is cheering (even if its not for me) i still enjoy it and feel some kind of good way about it. Life as a helmet is rough!
I really like how you gave different reasons about the life of a helmet. Your post gave me a new perspective on the life of a helmet. I thought it was creative how you said the life of a football helmet is smelly. I never would've thought of something like that. I really liked your post. Good job!
I agree that the helmet does have a hard life because they go through a lot. They have to suffer because they always will get hit by the ball or being tackled to the ground. Being a helmet is scary because of the hits you’ll have to take just to protect the person that is wearing the helmet. I agree that some people don’t know what they go through and how much pain the helmet is getting for every that they go through. It takes a really brave helmet to just go on the field so that the football player will not get hurt. -Jacqueline Romero A3/B3
As a helmet, my job is to to protect the player. I really love my job, and I hope that the player really appreciates me for it. This job is pretty hard, but I can take the heat. I’m always the attention of the game. Well, that’s what I think. I do my job better than anyone else could.
During games is the hardest, that’s when I’m always get thrown and bumped. It’s not really that easy, but I've learned to get used to it after a while. I don’t really remember my first football game, but I know that it was pretty intense. The score was tied, and two teams that hated each other were playing. I knew all the pain I would go through, but I didn't give up.
I may get slammed and hit, but I know it’s helping someone out. I’ve always wanted a job where I had to help and protect people, and being a helmet was a perfect choice. Even though there are a lot on cons and dangers of being a helmet, I still love my job and all the benefits that come with it. I get to be on T.V for crying out loud!
This perspective does match my perspective to the helmet. On mine I also put that the helmet gets thrown around in games, and isn't very appreciated by the player. I put that I love protecting my player and I will keep on protecting them. The last thing we match in was that even though the helmet gets hurt a lot it still loves the job it does. This also got me thinking about how the helmet saw the rival team.
Dear reader, I really like how you made yourself sound like you were the helmet. You made your self sound so protective and noble (you see what I did there?). I also really liked how you were kind of describing an actual football game. It made it sound intense and exciting. Really nice work!
If you think about, a helmet goes through a lot in a football game. It can get just as damaged as the football player. Everything that the player does, the helmet goes along with it. If the player gets bumped into, the helmet is going to bump into the opponents head. It can get dented too! Think of the dent like a broken bone that the player might get. It's pretty rough. The helmet has more of an advantage in way. For example, when the player is running with the ball, the helmet is able to see things coming before the player does, therefore, it has more time to prepare itself for whats coming. The helmet is strong, and it helps protect the players head from getting any serious head injuries. So the helmet has a very important job in he game. It always has to be prepared for anything that might happened at any moment. A helmet goes through a lot even after a game. It can get thrown, scrapped, chipped, bent, etc. It can even go through some weather related problems. When the players go out and play in the rain it gets wet, when the sun is out on a hot summer day, it can get really hot, and it can get over heated. sooner or later the helmet is going to wear out, or just not work the same as it used to. So in the end, the helmet goes through as much difficulties as a football player does. - Destiny Marcos
I like the way you described the helmets importance in a football game, but you should have kept the story in first person and added some dialouge to make the story more interesting. Overall you did a great job of emphasizing the importance of a helmets job.
I like how you explained the purpose of the helmet. I also liked how you said some examples on the helmet. I also liked how you used descripted words to come through your point . Over all it was a good easy.
I like how you told what is the use of the helmet, and the results that occur with it over time. I do agree with what you are saying about the pain that the helmet shares with the player that is wearing it Tyra Williams Ms. Wright A/B3
A helmet in a football game is everything, but it also has a purpose. a helmet is like a god its is the protector of someones head during a game, also the helmet is like the best friend you could ever have. it sounds weird to say it but its true, it will take on anything in front of you to keep you safe in this case if would be the clash against another helmet in a real football game. but it cant take too much damage or i will wear out just like a humans muscles wear out as they get old.
a game in a helmets perspective is like going the hell. they suffer the most because of all and its annoying having to get hit constantly but there's nothing they can do, and they could easily stop working as your heads protector but they wont because that's not there job. but as the game goes on all a helmet sees is a war, or a big battle between helmets. they don't see it as a fun exciting game , nor a sport to them its a horrible 1 hr and 30 minutes. but they never complain why? because no one will hear them out, and by the end of the day they cant wait till they are put away for somewhat a nice rest.
but another thing in a helmets perspective is the sweaty disgusting stench of sweat from the player, that's what a helmet has to deal with every single football game. in their eyes it looks nasty and not worth it but again a helmet is a helmet and they cant do anything about how they are used , nor say anything because no one will pay attention to a helmet. see helmets life during a football game is nothing but punishment even worse a never ending nightmare. that is what a helmets perspective really is during a football game.
I Like how you described the helmets point of view as Annoying. It helps the other bloggers see the helmets point of view differently. You used many creative ways to describe it. I really liked it when you said. "never ending nightmare". That really got us to see how the helmet probably feels throughout the game. Nice work! Destiny Marcos A/B3 Ms.Wright
"UGH not again, not another game" is what every helmet says before every football game. I get on the head of my player and get ready to get in the action. Though i dread being hit repeatedly over and over again, but I know that I have a purpose. To protect my players face from about everything.
I get strapped up and my straps get tightened and I get ready for another day of work. As we walk out the locker room and realize why I love my job ,but it can be annoying at times. I get to be on camera and i get a front row view of every game, but the downside being i get smashed, hit, and rubbed into the ground every 5 or so minutes.
The game starts and I get ready. I hear "Ready set hike" and I get hit right off the start on a running play. I get up in a daze and get ready for the next play. I hear the quarterback say the nest play will be another running play and I prepare to get smashed by another football player. The ball is snapped and I wait for the impact and close my eyes, but i dont feel it. I open my eyes and see the N-zone closing in yard by yard and I know why I love my job. I got to be apart of the players touchdown dance and it was great
I like your work here, Its as if I were to be the helmet myself. I like how you put that the helmet could be part of the touch down since its on the players head, I didn't think of that. Compared to mine I can see that we both kind of described the helmet getting bashed against another player's helmet, but mine was more about what happens after you can say. Because I wrote about how it wanted to get polished or get a new paint job and look nice. Also how it compared to our life as well, but I like your point of view.
I am a helmet. Once I get put on that footballers head, I know whats coming. Being a helmet takes a lot of responsibility. I have to protect that person from all of the dangerous/harmful things that may hurt that persons head. But no one never asked me how I feel about being a helmet.
Being a helmet hurts! Getting hit with the ball, or hitting the ground when the football player gets tackle. Even when the player gets mad he takes his helmet off and throws it on the ground. THAT HURTS ! People should treat me with respect, because I protect them from danger out on the field,
So being a helmet isn't easy. You have huge responsibilities. I just hope one day ,someone would treat me like a king, or queen.
I think the helmet does have a lot of responsibility protecting the person because without the helmet you are hurt other people and you are hurting yourself by taking a really big risk. The helmet does take a lot of hits just to protect the person which will hurt a lot. I agree that the helmet does a lot like getting hit with the ball or being tackled by another person so that they can not score. It really does hurt but you are being protected by a helmet which is a really big thing. -Jacqueline Romero A3/B3
I really like the way you think about how the helmet is important for the persons helmet. I like also how you can truly connect on what you know and what you think could happen when you are a helmet. I think that you truly worked hard on writing this piece and how you also explained how it is a big responsibility and how they players act and hoe they take their anger on the helmet. This is a really nice piece. -Leticia Benitez Period 3
Dear Reader, The main purpose to wearing a helmet is to protect you from getting hit it the head by being tackled to the floor, crashing into another player, or get hit in the face with the ball. The reason why wear the helmet because they can break open their skull, get a concussion from all of the hits they had gotten. Those are the basic reasons why football games wear a helmet. Another reason is because it is very unsafe for the football players just to run out into the open. The reason they have to wear helmets so the football players will not get hurt. The reason the football players can get hurt is because of all the pressure and force two players have against each other for trying to get the ball from the other team so they can not score a touchdown. Wearing a football helmet is safe, but not all the time you can still feel the pressure going through the skull. You can still get concussions with the helmet on, but they won’t be as serious without the helmet on. There are still many reasons, but these are the main ones. If you actually be carefully with playing football, and actually trying to get the ball without hitting the person. If you don’t achieve this and you want to be in it, so then you will be mad at yourself because you didn’t achieve anything. -Jacqueline Romero A3/B3
This writing that you have done is somewhat similar to mine. I like how instead of describing the view of a helmet you give general description of what the helmet exactly does in the field of play . Another thing that I have noticed is you explain what occurs during the football game more than anything which I lacked in my writing. There is the difference in case of how you wrote but in the end this was a overall nice piece of writing.
I am a helmet and I get hurt a lot. Its not very fun being me. I mean all you do is sit on someones head hopping not to get tackled because that hurts. I hate it, but that's my job. I have to talk to my partner telling him wear to go and letting him know where he can run to or throw the football at. There's tons of responsibilities in being a helmet.
We were getting ready for a huge game the next day, and I was beyond nervous. As we entered the field there was a lot of people out on the stands screaming and hollering. That pumped me and my partner, but I was still nervous. Like, what if I told him to go somewhere hes not supposed to go and i'm the one that messes up the game for the whole team. My other helmet friends had the same worries, but we always won the game even though we doubt ourselves since we feel we have the biggest job.
Once the game started, I was so nervous, but I had a little bit excitement in me. My partner has the ball now. I whisper in his ear ,"Go left, go left." He went left for he ran like the wind. The wind hitting against my forehead and cheeks felt so good, best feeling ever. I shut my eyes, so all the little bugs flying around wont get in. Then if they did, I wouldn't be able to see for the rest of the game because you know i have no hands. That day was the day I realized I should boost up my confidence because being nervous isn't going to help during an important game like that. And oh, did I tell you? we won the championship thanks to my amazing communication with my partner.
I really like your blog post. I can relate to this because when i have a responsibility it makes me feel that a lot of people depend on me. And you described well how the football feels that he needs to help out the player. I can agree to what the helmets feel, because it is a hard job to be them and protect people. sincerly, Blanca Cruces A2/B2
Being a helmet is bad, but it could also be fun and exiting. You see, every weekend I am always being slammed, crushed against other helmets, sweated on, its just disgusting. But I like helping the player out at times. I like to think of it as him getting hurt, or me getting rocked. I mean I can also be useful, I protect them from the danger of enemy helmets, I give them shade when its too hot outside, protect their face too.
Saving a persons life every weekend is truly amazing. Just think about it, saving someones life all the time is almost as if you were to be a hero. If you are lucky, you get a brand new paint job and/or get polished off and boom! good as new. I sure do love getting polished. But like I mentioned before, IF the game is lost. you get thrown to the ground with anger. Get scratched up. Sometimes you don't get put on no more, and you just sit there waiting until a miracle happens so you can play again.
Being a helmet is neither good or bad well it is, but I mean it all depends on the day. Think of it as your life. Sometimes you get happy and go out, buy new clothes, get freshen up, get pretty or whatever. And sometimes you just get angry or sad and start going off on people, become distant from everything and you just want to be left alone. That is exactly how the life of a helmet is. Sometimes you just get thrown and kicked around, but that's life my friend. Oh oh.. looks like I have to go, my game is starting and I have to go protect someones head again. hopefully we win, I'm getting dull and need a little polishing.
Dear reader, When you are in a football team you love and you are playing with your team mates, you will feel proud playing. especially with the jersey with your team's name and your number and the team emblem on your helmet. If the football has feelings, it will be proud playing with with the player because the helmet will be able to bash anything in the player's way and help bring the glory to the team. Although the helmet will be bashed and will look painful, the helmet doesn't care. In fact, the helmet will be strong and protective.
In football, the game is physical, the goal of foot ball is to bring victory to the team with physical. Of course you will be bashed a lot, and that is what the helmet is for. The helmet's goal is to protect you from splitting your skull open. This means that the helmet will be unbreakable and will take the pain for the player. It will be proud protecting the player playing for the team, and no matter what the helmet will be on your head to take pain away from you and help you. The helmet will feel brave and will not be scared to help you knock an opponent to the ground.
Overall, when you play football you feel proud playing with your team. Same goes for the helmet, the helmet feels proud when it is on your head and it's protecting you. Basically, the helmet is like a player for each football player. When the helmet is with you it will be fearless and strong, and will be proud to be your wingman. Just like football players, if the helmet has feelings, it will be proud to play, fearless to get hit, and strong to knock opponents down. And when the team wins all the players and helmets will feel glory on their side. If you were to be in the helmet's perspective, that is exactly how you are going to feel if you were a helmet. - Rogelio Aguirre A3
Dear reader, Having a helmet on in a football game can be a good thing because it will protect your head from getting damage or hurting it when you get tackled hard in a game. The helmet is your safety gear to help protect your head so if you hit the ground the helmet will protect you because its unbreakable. Helmets allows you to see things that's going on around you.Helmets can be you for any physical activity even in hockey or someone riding their bike they wear a helmet just in case they come into physical contact with a car or a player they won't hit their heads because helmets are protecting it.
When having on the helmet you might have more encouragement then you did at first because now you feel safe and feel like playing a game of football because you not scared to get tackled. once you get tackled and realize that your is not hurting you will enjoy the sport because you will feel safe.when you have on a helmet an you're playing a game of football you might get scared when the defender running towards you because you don't know if the helmet will protect your head so you will try to get out the way so you won't get hit and you probably can score a touchdown.
Once you get use to wearing a helmet and playing tackle football you will eventually think about playing on the football team or making football your favorite sport and joining a team one day.You might come addicted to playing football when you see how fun it is playing with the helmet because you will think you a NFL football player and try to do the tricks that they do. When you play football you might have everyone focused on you because you was scared to play at first but when you show them that you can play they will become shocked and start picking you to be on their team every time y'all play a pick up game because of the moves and catches they saw.
You did a great job at telling all about what a helmet does and why helmets are very important. The one thing you should of kept the same though out the paragraphs is a first person point of view. You started in third person then switched to first person and didnt keep the point of view the same through out the entire story.
I liked yours because you give great points of view on why needing a helmet is important. Not just with one setting but for multiple settings like the riding a bike or playing a sport. You are also right about gaining more confidence, I mean anyone would be scared to play with out protective gear on that is really dangerous. Compared to mine, you talk about how wearing a helmet has benefits. I mostly wrote about the helmets point of view and how does it feel when getting impacted. But yours is really good too. You keep the reader entertained.
I agree with you, you described the job of the helmet, the benefits of wearing the helmet, and having confidence to play football. But you haven't talked about how the helmet will feel in the position or talked about the pride. I think that your comment is good because you described the job of the helmet. But if you added a little more about the helmet's perspective, then your comment will be strong. But overall, I agree with you. -Rogelio Aguirre P3
Being in charge of all of those lives is a big deal so you do have to try your best everyday. Picture how bad the fans will feel if one of their team players gets hurt. They would all be shocked and sad. Ricardo Velez A2/B2
Being the helmet of a football player is so dangerous.I am always in a very big fight against the other helmets in the other team, the always think that it is about winning and fighting the other team's helmet well although I am a very good protector, you can count on me for protection, for I was made to protect the man's head.Even though it is very dangerous for me to be in this game you can get use to it.
I can always protect the man's head, but it hurts me every time the people put me on. I can just imagine the other helmets getting hurt well I always plan on having a day were the humans can wear something else instead of me. I always get hurt i get hit in the head and I am very annoyed but sometimes I can see how the sport wouldn't be played if i was not there to protect their heads from the other team.
Sometimes the people can for get about us,but most of the time when us the helmets are wasted or we can't protect the heads the people and we can get thrown away and be replaced by a newer helmet and I truly understand that, that is the way of the helmet and sometimes I'm scare of being thrown out and replaced by a newer one form the store but that is the way of a helmets life.
This response made me think differently on what i wrote because this writer described how it would be like to be a helmet and the dangers of it that of how the helmet probably feels about playing in a big playoff game. And describes how the helmet feels during this time and how it protects a players head.
Being in the perspective of the helmet during a game is many things its exciting, scary, amazing and sometimes boring the exciting part of being a helmet is that you get to view whats going on with the player and get to get some of his praise from the fans when he is running the ball to the other side of the field as he is doing so you get a sense of excitement when being apprehended from other players the amazing part of being in a helmets perspective would be getting the best seats in the stadium and being able to see what plays the coach calls out and seeing them being played on the field. The downfall/boring pat of being a helmet is sometimes being left on the grass and being kicked around or just being sweated allover by the football player the job of a helmet is to protect the player and not allow there to be as many head injuries the helmet by third half of the game would be all scratched and the paint would be messed up and the wording on the helmet would be hard to read. The competition is crazy and there is so many people that are out to get you when you have the ball helmets jobs on the field the main reason why players need helmets is to not get as many concussions or skull fractures anything like that but the main incidents that occur on the field have to be cramps and concussions but the helmets prevent most of the incidents that would usually happen to your head. finally in conclusion to all that the helmets job on the field is one of the most important.
I disagree with you. You got the scary part correct but have you ever thought of what the helmet's job is. Have you ever included that the helmets gets slammed and bashed. No, but most of the things you said were correct but you were missing some parts. But if you were to add more about the helmet's perspective like being hit, protecting the human skull, and having pride with the team, then it will be much better. But overall, I agree with you. - Rogelio Aguirre P3
Dear Readers, A helmet, in a football game ,is to protect the player from getting hurt. Some people are tough and strong that can really hurt the person without the helmet. The helmet can see what the player is getting into. The purpose about football is to the person, so if the person is wearing a helmet then they can have less minor injuries. When they start at the starting line, the helmet sees the opponent from the other team ready to tackle. The helmet has a feeling that they might get tackled, or they are getting through the team and making a touchdown. The helmet can sense things. The helmet can sense the anger or can sense the competition going on between the players. That's when the helmet knows if he needs to protect harder or protect weaker. But no matter what the helmet will be there protect you head to cause less minor injuries. They can also sense the people around you such as your team member. To see if you can be able to catch the ball or defend the team The helmet has lots of senses besides feeling and seeing. He can hear what the other players are staying. Either if they are you team or the other team. The helmet can also hear the crowed. The helmet believes with the cheers with shouts that the player can do it. Even of they are wearing the players shirts number.
Dear Reader, As I think about being the perspective through a helmet through-out a game, so much goes through my mind. I can imagine everything by what I see the players go through on the field from my TV. A helmet can get dented if hit really hard, it could become scratched, and it might even become dirty if it lands on the dirt. A helmet can become damaged through a game, or even practice.
A helmet can help the player from serious amount of injuries. It can helps protect the players head which is very important. The helmet is made of strong material which makes it so powerful. A helmet can capture the entire scene of the game and knows what is up ahead. It is the most important piece for a player.
There a lot of things to think about for a helmet, so its pretty simple to consider all of the things that it may go through and see. It protects players, so that is the main point of having a helmet in the game of football. It can allow you to see the game, it may get damaged by scratches or have dents, and can be dirty. This is what I predict a helmet goes through. -Tiffany Pancoalt
This blog made me think differently about what i wrote because it described so much things that a helmet goes through. And how its like if you were a helmet on a players head, slamming into other players and such. Also on how the helmet protects the players head. - Crystal Coronel A/B2
Now I don’t much about football but I do know that everyone has a position on the team. Like for example the quarterback throws to the receiver and the receiver makes the touchdown. I also that they wear equipment to protect them from getting hurt. Like for example the shoulder pads help the football player tackle the other player, but can also protect them from dislocating a shoulder or even break a shoulder. I believe that the helmet is one of the most important equipment because this protects the football player, hockey player, or even the baseball players from getting any serious injuries.
Now lets talk about a helmet perspective doing a football game. Now the helmet protect the players from getting hurt. So lets say that I am a helmet and about to go to my first football, and I am freaking out because I have to make sure that I don’t fall off his head. Now say the helmet fall off his head do you know what happen to me. Will do you, do you. No because you have ever been response for making sure someone else head won’t get hurt. Being a helmet is a very big job,but its also a award for the helmet because is the most important of the uniform for the football player.
Helmets are what brings pride and joy of being a football player, but the helmet also has a big responsibility which is keep that player safe. Being a helmet can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on who’s under the helmet, and what’s sport is being played by that player. - Kelicia Daniel P3
I liked how you where specific and what you do at a football game. I also liked how you show expression with strong powerful words. -Kassandra Munoz A2/B2
I am the guy with helmet that needs to protect those in my team inside the field. I need to protect them from getting hit from opponent which is a very difficult job to do because you have to like risk your life inside the filed to protect those from getting hit.
During the football game I am constantly getting hit with some other helmets, even though I have my helmet on it still hurts once you crash into another helmet. After the game I get a lot of bruises and cuts which is very painful to all of those football players. Sometimes I am not even constantly protecting my teammate because I am suppose to be looking at my opponents to avoid them from getting to the touchdown line.
As I was saying I am the helmet that protects you from getting injured after the game. The helmet is like another teammate protecting you from getting your head hit from another. I am as hard as a rock which good for the person that wearing it. As the game finished I feel relieved because im done from getting hit and my teammate getting hurt and i feel like a hero for what I did in the field. -Andres Barajas Ms.Wright A2/B2
I agree that the helmet will start to feel apart of the team and won't be disappointed if they lose or not because they tried their hardest. Also, when she brings up that they are worth something because the helmets allow players to play.
The helmet is the most important part of the game because without a helmet the players will be dying left and right. The helmet has the most important job in the game. It is responsible of all of the players lives. Ricardo Velez A2/B2
As a helmet, its my job to protect who is wearing me even if I get hit once in a great while it’s my job. My job is the best job I ever had will the only, you can’t be a helmet and a lawyer. Being a helmet is my way of saving people from getting hit, and getting jumped on as while.
When I go on the field I’m prepared for whatever hits me. I will be scared but that is part of the game and I would learn that. When I’m on the field I’m trying to not disappoint my owner from not doing my duty ,and not fulfil my duties as a helmet. In baseball it’s my job to protect the batter from getting hurt ,so he/ she won’t get injury in some way. When I step up to the plate I feel as if I was the player and that player is not trying to get hit in the head so he won’t end up in the hospital.
When I play hockey it’s my job to protect my owner from getting his head smashed against the glass. When I’m on that field, or ice ring I feel alive and ready to take whatever comes. Being a helmet is a hard job ,but you can get use to it. I not afraid to take hit, I protect my owner and I will never change, or give up the job and let everyone down that is cheering me on. Dear readers, the sport of football is one of the most physical sports to play and using a helmet is the number one part of the uniform. because these players get hit really hared when they are tackled and if their helmet is not on than they could really suffer a really bad injury. when players have a football helmet they don't really worry about what happens if they get tackle because they feel like the helmet and pads could really help them. I do think that the helmets could use more protection and they should make a change of that because their are still players getting concussions. -Brandon Camarillo
Dear reader, As a helmet it is my duty to protect you, and make sure that you do not get any injuries along the way. I am there for you when someone runs up to you and hits your head. I make sure that you do not end up in the hospital where your life is on the line. Being a helmet is a serious job, and I am proud to say that I am one. I have saved many lives. I may not be attractive, but when we are on the field together and you find that you are lucky to have me on you will thank me. Football is not the only game where I am being worn, So that means that you should take wearing me seriously. I have been through some stuff that no other thing has. I get thrown around, scratched, and forgot about. Until the next game, I feel alone and wonder to myself, “If they never invented me, many lives would be in danger”. This job is not easy, but I can’t say anything else about it because I was made for saving peoples lives. As a helmet I make sure that people are safe and again do not hurt themselves. Knowing that many people get hurt even when they do wear me, I know that there are people out there who can improve on making me better and more safe. In my point of view football is not that safe of a game, but it is fun to be in the game and supporting the players knowing that you are there to help them. I am safe and ready whenever the player is ready.
To see if you can be able to catch the ball or defend the team. The helmet has lots of senses besides feeling and seeing. He can hear what the other players are staying. Either if they are you team or the other team. The helmet can also hear the crowed. The helmet believes with the cheers with shouts that the player can do it. Even of they are wearing the players shirts number. Gloria Arroyo A3/B3
Dear Reader, As me being the helmet job it to protect your head from being injured from all possible ways. I am the one who take most of the pain the is shot through our body when it is hit my some one bigger and stronger. I am thick material, but not all physical head damage is not able to protected from all hits and blows. I am in every single game that is played through out every players life. people may but buy backstage passes and front row seats, yet I am still the one with the closest seats of all put together. The helmet is not just a piece of metal, not is it a just a thing worn on humans head.
Therefore, wearing me "the helmet" on your head will decrease the chances of you getting a very permanent damages to your head. There are designers who are out in the world trying to improve me every time chance they can to make it even more protective than is was originally, but not all would work out as well as they may think. finally I do believe that football is going to and should consider keeping it around, so the helmet benefits every on especially football players. Tyra Williams Ms.Wright A/B3
I am being worn in a game that has an oval shaped ball and lost of people come to watch the teams play on Super Bowl. Can you guess what I am? I am the helmet on my team's head. I protect their head and keep them from getting injured. I get to travel the world with them and I love every minute of it. Sometimes I feel kinda hurt, being hit with other helmets and feeling all that grass when my team falls. I don’t know how I can put up with it, but I love my job being there for my teams on their big days.
I feel as if you wear me I will forever protect you as long as you can treat me right, and I will never not help. Sometime it can get rough, yet I will do my best to be there. I will forever keep your head safe from harm and be as hard as a rock. Feeling needs to that you will always treat me right and keep me clean. Wearing me on your head will be the best you have ever done, so I will never leave you and you will never leave me.
Wear me and treat me with the respect I need, and I will stay with you forever. I will keep you from hurting your little or big head. Many people are trying to improve me and make me better. For that I will make your chances of getting hurt decrease. Being by your side has been the best thing. I will never leave, nor I will forsake you. So keep the game of football going and lets us travel the world together, and I will protect you with all my strength. Khristin Williams Ms. Wright A3, B3
Do you think that I am important for you football players? I mean it may be fun for you put it hurts for me hear and there put I think it is kind of cool. Getting hit in the head hurts ,but it feels good to be useful to others while having fun. It feels so good when the ball comes in straight at you, and 10 guys coming at you what a rush. Sometimes I laugh at the other guys when they try to catch us it is so funny with them thinking they can catch us. I was with my person ever since high school playing football. I was so happy when Joe opened me on Christmas morning. I was so happy, yet Joe wasn't because he didn't know how to play. So once this father showed him Joe was a prow. Growing and growing every year, and getting better and stronger making it to the NFL's. That was the best thing that ever happened to was going to the big leagues. Getting hit by 200 lb men knowing I can protect my person. Running to the other side to make a touch down. So fun with the wind blowing throw my scalp ,and the thrill when running from 50 men. I get so excited when we win ,and my person always coming and out we are both fine. Me and Joe make a pretty good team for us both being old and all. Football is are life this is why we still are playing and still alive. -Guadalupe Cabrera A3/B3
A helmet is suppose to protect you, and make sure that you do not won't get injuries. It 's there when someone dashes towards you and hits your head. It also makes sure that you do not end up in the E.R. Having a helmet is a responsible thing to do, and You should be proud that they were created. It might be uncomfortable, but when you are in the game and you find that you are lucky to have it on to defend you.
You don't just wear the helmet for the game you represent it, So that means that you take it seriously. It's been through a lot because it takes the heat when your head doesn't. Helmets are always a little broken, scratched, and kicked. But the next game, You feel great about wearing the helmet because it's there for you, "You are the creator of our destiny". It's hard to be a helmet, but there's so much more to a help that you and I don't know.
As a helmet be sure that whoever wears the helmet are safe and well conditioned. It's very important that you always wear the helmet because it's apart of you, I know that there's a lot of citizens who can make a better helmet but the most important thing is safety. In my opinion and I'm sure a lot of people would agree football is an intense sport, but it's fun to cheer the players knowing that they are safe wearing the gear. It's probably the best thing that has ever been created for a athlete.
Me and this writer have the same perspective on this topic. For one we both agree the the helmet is to protect you from any harm. We also feel that the helmet is a big part of a football game. - Kelicia Daniel P3

Being A helmet is so painful and I have a big responsibility. No one cares about me , they just use me to take all the impact of peoples falls. Every Sunday I get to go on the field and have a face to face conversation with other helmets. They also have to go through a lot of pain , Even some of us get to fly when our owner gets hit very hard. Every Sunday I leave with a big O headache , then I have to sit in a smelly locker for 6 days until next Sunday. Sometimes I don’t mind it cause my friend that sits in the locker next to me knows how to make me laugh.
Even tho I go through a lot of pain I know my role is to protect my own. My owner depends on me to keep him safe and from him not getting hurt. My owner knows I’ma protect him so he goes all in when playing.Im his life saver , and I know he is thankful for me being in his presents during the game. I feel pain but when i feel love its all worth it.
Also being on T.V is worth all the pain. Even Sunday thousands of people see me crushing other helmets. I love it when they play the replay in slow-motion on the big screen. I get this feeling of achievement when I hear the fans cheer loud. I feel like all the attention is on me for those 30 seconds. So being a helmet does has its pros and cons. But hey what can I say I love being a helmet.
I am one of the most important part of a Football player’s equipment. I am the helmet. My job is mostly to protect my owner’s head, but i can serve as a tackling tool, too. I am made of very hard material that protects the head of my owner. If I am not placed accurately on my owners head, then if that person gets tackled, serious injuries can and will occur. It’s my job to keep Football players safe. They count on me to protect them. It feels good being out on the field with all these other helmets, too. They’re doing the exact same thing I am. Some do a better job than others. It hurts when I get hit by other helmets, but at least it doesn’t put my owner at risk. That’s all that matters. At times, I get hit so hard, I fall of my owners head. And that’s when they get put at risk. The rush when the football player is running is a thrill! I’m going super fast. I feel the air hitting me. I hear people cheering and others boo-ing. And all of that gets me pumped up for the next impact I have. I know im really pumped when I see the other players helmet on the floor, thats how hard i hit him.
ReplyDeleteThe helmet is your protector and your guider on the field.

DeleteAs a helmet it’s my job to protect the lives of many people. It’s my job to make sure everyone is ok, I enjoy it because I’ve saved many lives. This job isn’t easy, but I can’t complain because this is what I’m made for.
ReplyDeleteAt the games it’s a challenge, and I say so because I constantly get banged against and slammed on, so I have tons of scratches on me.

As a helmet, I am supposed to protect my wearer's head during a game of football. I am not appreciated for my job most of the time, but I don't need to be thanked since I always help out on the field. My job, however, is not easy.
ReplyDeleteDuring a football game, I constantly slam into an enemy helmet for most of the game.

ReplyDeleteRemembering my job i would always serve my duty, But when i am off duty i will be surely waiting to be put on again for the next game.

Dear Reader,
DeleteI really like your blog, because it had a lot of intresting fun ways to learn how a helmet feels. I can connect to this because this blog reminds me of how when i get hit and no one notices and it really hurts it makes me feel mad. Helmets when they are in the fields, however are hurt even more and no one really knows how they feel. This makes me keep my perspective of how helmets are helpful for football players they are very useful!

Dear Reader,
ReplyDeleteAs a helmet I am suppose to protect any violent sport games so they would not get a concussion.

I agree that helmets prevent concussions. I think that's the most important thing a helmet helps to do. Because if the players had concussions frequently, they would have to be hospitalized and they could have brain damage, and that's where the helmet comes in place, to prevent that.

Dear Reader,
DeleteI agree that a helmet is a very useful tool in sports .

ReplyDeleteI have a hard job since I am constantly get hit and sometimes thrown around.
Miguel Flores / Ms.Wright A/B2.

Dear Reader,
ReplyDeleteIts not easy being a helmet.

My job is to protect a lot of guys heads while they are slamming into each other. I have had to save many lives during the game. It is a very hard job because if someone hits with their helmet the wrong way the challenger can get seriously injured.
ReplyDeleteI am in every single game which means that I get bang around many times over, and over again.

ReplyDeleteIn practice runs with human beings I am always used to protect my wearer's head, but sometimes the player neglects me and goes without my protection.

I decide whether i am suppose to be the bad luck or good luck , and it all depends whether i am going to protect the head. As a result i am it is always my job to protect it.
ReplyDeleteRemembering my job i would always serve my duty, But when i am off duty i will be surely waiting to be put on again for the next game.

During a football game it is my job to protect the player from any harm that can happen during the game. I feel like I failed if I ever don’t do my job right, but the player doesn’t know I feel bad. I really like my job because I get a front row seat of the game and I am part of the action.
ReplyDeleteI don’t always fail.

Delete-Jose Cisneros A/B 3
I disagree with you. I don't think a helmet can fail, but it can get damaged in multiple ways such as being tackled and getting scratches and other such things. I also don't think a helmet goes through much fun considering the fact that it is constantly getting injured through out a game or even practice. I do, however, agree with the statement you made with the helmet being a big part of the game because without helmets, football probably wouldn't exist. So, I both agree and disagree.
Delete-Tiffany Pancoalt A/B 3
Dear Reader,
ReplyDeleteAs a helmet I play a big roll in the game, but some people may not think that.

Dear Author,
DeleteYour perspective is similar to my perspective in almost everything, but have their differences. My helmet doesn’t like his job but accepts it, while your helmet is happy and accepts its task. Helmet’s first person:
ReplyDeleteI love what I do, the thrill that I get when my player puts me on his head, when he runs into the stadium and the lights are shining brightly on my head.

ReplyDeleteI am your helmet. I am the roof over your head with one window to look through. I
am the glasses on your face that helps you get to your goal with getting brain damage.
I am the most important gear because I protect you. So I am not just a helmet with the
cool logo or the awesome details. No, I am your armor.
I am the one who can let you get hit with getting damaged. I can let you see your path
,so you can get through those silly opponents who think they can hurt you. Yes, they can’t
hurt you because before as you duck down crashing head first into the ground. I am the one who takes damage but I don’t break because I am strong.
As you stand up you realize that everybody is cheering and they all saying the same thing
“TOUCHDOWN”!!!!!!!! The way you got there safely is by me you protector. Your armor.

Dear reader,
ReplyDeleteAs a protective gear i’m suppose to keep the head safe and make sure its not going to break.

ReplyDeleteA football game from the perspective of a helmet would be great because I get to watch the game so close and feel like people are cheering for me.
Yeshua Chavez A2/B2
i think i would disagree with you yeshua. i mean have you ever thought of all the clashing and banging between one helmet and another. and obviously both mine and your perspectives of how a helmet would actually see everything. i think its perspective would be that it gets pretty annoying having to play numerous times a day. and having to deal with the players sweat everyday would be annoying because now the helmet itself would smell. the way i think a helmet sees everything and the way you think a helmet sees everything wouldn't match because of all the troubles a helmet really has to go through
Delete-Jose Cisneros A/B 3
Dear Reader,
ReplyDeleteBy putting on a helmet and seeing how it feels like, to see things through the helmet such as football players do.
- Crystal Coronel Mrs. Wright A/B2
ReplyDeleteThe helmet is your protector and your guider on the field ,so let’s think about what would happen to you if you didn’t have your helmet on.

ReplyDeleteI get to see the football games close up because obviously im like one of the players; and, if it wasn't for me my person would get in a coma or something cause he got hit real hard.

ReplyDeleteWhen I have games, I am always terrified.

This also got me thinking about how the helmet saw the rival team.

DeleteI really like how you made yourself sound like you were the helmet.
ReplyDeleteThe helmet has more of an advantage in way.

ReplyDeletea game in a helmets perspective is like going the hell. they suffer the most because of all and its annoying having to get hit constantly but there's nothing they can do, and they could easily stop working as your heads protector but they wont because that's not there job. but as the game goes on all a helmet sees is a war, or a big battle between helmets. they don't see it as a fun exciting game , nor a sport to them its a horrible 1 hr and 30 minutes. but they never complain why? because no one will hear them out, and by the end of the day they cant wait till they are put away for somewhat a nice rest.
but another thing in a helmets perspective is the sweaty disgusting stench of sweat from the player, that's what a helmet has to deal with every single football game. in their eyes it looks nasty and not worth it but again a helmet is a helmet and they cant do anything about how they are used , nor say anything because no one will pay attention to a helmet. see helmets life during a football game is nothing but punishment even worse a never ending nightmare. that is what a helmets perspective really is during a football game.

"UGH not again, not another game" is what every helmet says before every football game. I get on the head of my player and get ready to get in the action. Though i dread being hit repeatedly over and over again, but I know that I have a purpose. To protect my players face from about everything.
ReplyDeleteI get strapped up and my straps get tightened and I get ready for another day of work.

Being a helmet hurts! Getting hit with the ball, or hitting the ground when the football player gets tackle. Even when the player gets mad he takes his helmet off and throws it on the ground. THAT HURTS ! People should treat me with respect, because I protect them from danger out on the field,

I think the helmet does have a lot of responsibility protecting the person because without the helmet you are hurt other people and you are hurting yourself by taking a really big risk. Dear Reader,
ReplyDeleteThe main purpose to wearing a helmet is to protect you from getting hit it the head by being tackled to the floor, crashing into another player, or get hit in the face with the ball.

Dear Reader,
ReplyDeleteI am a helmet and I get hurt a lot.

Deletesincerly,

Being a helmet is bad, but it could also be fun and exiting. You see, every weekend I am always being slammed, crushed against other helmets, sweated on, its just disgusting. But I like helping the player out at times. I like to think of it as him getting hurt, or me getting rocked. I mean I can also be useful, I protect them from the danger of enemy helmets, I give them shade when its too hot outside, protect their face too.
ReplyDeleteSaving a persons life every weekend is truly amazing.

Dear reader,
ReplyDeleteWhen you are in a football team you love and you are playing with your team mates, you will feel proud playing. especially with the jersey with your team's name and your number and the team emblem on your helmet.

Dear reader,
ReplyDeleteHaving a helmet on in a football game can be a good thing because it will protect your head from getting damage or hurting it when you get tackled hard in a game.
- Cedric Mitchell A3/B3
You did a great job at telling all about what a helmet does and why helmets are very important. The one thing you should of kept the same though out the paragraphs is a first person point of view. You started in third person then switched to first person and didnt keep the point of view the same through out the entire story.
DeleteAngel Robles Ms. Wright P3

ReplyDeleteI can always protect the man's head, but it hurts me every time the people put me on.

DeleteBeing in the perspective of the helmet during a game is many things its exciting, scary, amazing and sometimes boring the exciting part of being a helmet is that you get to view whats going on with the player and get to get some of his praise from the fans when he is running the ball to the other side of the field as he is doing so you get a sense of excitement when being apprehended from other players the amazing part of being in a helmets perspective would be getting the best seats in the stadium and being able to see what plays the coach calls out and seeing them being played on the field.
ReplyDeleteJesus Arreola Period 3/Ms.Wright
I disagree with you. You got the scary part correct but have you ever thought of what the helmet's job is. Have you ever included that the helmets gets slammed and bashed. No, but most of the things you said were correct but you were missing some parts. But if you were to add more about the helmet's perspective like being hit, protecting the human skull, and having pride with the team, then it will be much better. But overall, I agree with you.

Dear Readers,
ReplyDeleteA helmet, in a football game ,is to protect the player from getting hurt.
To see if you can be able to catch the ball or defend the team
The helmet has lots of senses besides feeling and seeing. He can hear what the other players are staying. Either if they are you team or the other team. The helmet can also hear the crowed. The helmet believes with the cheers with shouts that the player can do it. Even of they are wearing the players shirts number.

DeleteDear Reader,
ReplyDeleteAs I think about being the perspective through a helmet through-out a game, so much goes through my mind.

ReplyDeleteNow lets talk about a helmet perspective doing a football game.

ReplyDeleteDuring the football game I am constantly getting hit with some other helmets, even though I have my helmet on it still hurts once you crash into another helmet. After the game I get a lot of bruises and cuts which is very painful to all of those football players. As I was saying I am the helmet that protects you from getting injured after the game. The helmet is like another teammate protecting you from getting your head hit from another. ReplyDeleteWhen I go on the field I’m prepared for whatever hits me.

Dear Reader,
ReplyDeleteAs me being the helmet job it to protect your head from being injured from all possible ways.

ReplyDeleteDear reader,
A helmet is suppose to protect you, and make sure that you do not won't get injuries.

ReplyDeleteBeing A helmet is so painful and I have a big responsibility.

ReplyDeleteIt’s my job to keep Football players safe.
