Right To Be Special?

#790
special vs. ordinary

83 comments:

  1. Dear Reader,
As I look at this quote, I find it kind of aggravating. The reason for this is because, I find it sad that people don't believe that everyone is special. It is obvious that many people don't acknowledge this. Perhaps when you look a group of people as a whole, they may seem "ordinary", but if you were to look at each person individually, it would be a completely different story.
Name one person who lives the exact same way that you do every single day. Well that's a trick question, because no one lives the exact same way that you live everyday. Therefore, everyone is special. Not everyone has the same skills that you nor I have. Maybe you can skateboard, but the person standing next to you cant, maybe that person is better at singing. Not everyone goes to the same school as you, they don't have the same schedule that you have, they probably don't even have the same opinions as you do.
Everyone has their own interests. Yes, there can be a group of people who have many of the same interests that you have, but then again, not everyone does. People have their own sense of style, taste in music, religious beliefs, etc. Not everyone is a doctor, or a musician, or a Marine. Not everyone has the same colored eyes, or colored skin, or colored hair. Not everyone enjoys One Direction, or Lorde. Not everyone is flexible, or athletic, or interested in books. Not everyone is you. Everyone is different, weird, unique, and special.
    Yours Truly,

    3. Well I absolutely agree on your views on people and the human beings we are. The reason why is because your right in saying anyone can be special in their own way because everyone is already different in almost every possible way stated, but they can be similar in looks though which is a minor exclusion since people can be twins as you know. So I like the way you described people for who they really are on the inside.

    6. I enjoyed reading your post; because, you stated how everyone isn't the same nor do anyone live the same life as each other. Since no one is exactly the same as each other then that's means that everyone is actually special. Your blog post made me think of another topic because you stated all of the reason why everyone is the same which made me think father than the topic. I can connect to your post, because I too think that everyone is different which makes everybody special.

  2. I believe that he U.S quote that say everyone is has the right to be special. The reason why is because the United States is known to give freedom to towards its citizens. Mean while i disagree with the statement of the Europe. Because what I believe the meaning is that those are feel like they’re ordinary then they should feel “ok”. Which I also believe it’s trying to say that they don’t really care whether you feel ordinary or not.
I believe that the united states quote is much better than the quote that Europe has because to me it is showing that the United States strongly agrees that everyone should have the right to feel special no matter what. No one else can take it away from you. For Europe to me it is showing that you can feel ordinary but they wouldn't care as if they can just take it from you.

  4. I think the quote stated by the U.S represents that anyone has the right to be special in the person's way. Meaning that everyone is already different, if this so, that means most people are already special in a good or bad way basically. Since people have their own way of life and thinking no human can be exactly the same in thought or actions, but can be, in looks. Which is why anyone has the ability to become special in any possible way imaginable. Showing that the U.S quote can be referred to as true in its way of saying people are special.
I think the European quote is some lesser than the U.S quote because it states people can be ordinary, but how would ordinary be described. Since most people would think ordinary means living life as what people want life to be as everyone else views it. It can be okay to be ordinary but most people would disagree since no one is really normal. Which basically shows that being normal or ordinary isn't the standard way of living in case of human beings. Since most people will always try to be like everyone else that is ''ordinary'', but I'm afraid that cannot be achieved.
I'm lastly trying to state that the U.S quote is a better mindset than the European mindset, for its ability to let people be what they want to be in their own way. The implications of the U.S quote wouldn't be as much because all people have to do is be themselves while the European quote promotes a bland way of living. Although people can choose to live the ordinary way, most will in the end choose not too and be un-ordinary. The U.S quote may promote a more optimistic way of life and to put people at a position that they want to be in, while the European quote may disagree. In the end many can state that the European mindset wouldn't be their mindset but the U.S mindset may have a part in their future. Stating that anyone can be themselves and live special but you can be ''ordinary'' whenever you would like to.

  5. Should everyone be ordinary or should everyone be special?

I personally believe that everybody should be considered special, because everyone is special in their own way. Everyone has a different quirk or talent or hobby. Some people are similar, but no one is ever the same as another person.
Like my mother; for example, she’s very judging. When we go out all she ever wants to do is to judge and make fun of people because of their looks and she’s always rating people like “Ohhh, she’s hideous. Ohh she’s fat!” (and it’s extremely annoying), but it’s her thing, I don’t think I know anybody that’s that judgemental! Or my cousin, she is the best at consoling people! When I feel sad or scared or anything at all, she has always been there for me. She’s the least awkward person I know!
The point is, we are all unique! We all can’t just go under one category, we are all in our little one of a kind type. There is no other person like you! There will never be another as nice, mean, tall, beautiful, or with the same smile or laugh as you. We are all different, special people.

    5. Even if people are considered normal, they also have things that make them special, but should never take that in advance or abuse it. 6. What I think about what Europe holds which is, being ordinary is ok for everyone is that people should be able to be the person they want to be. But if people want to be ordinary, that is fine but it is so much more better to be different and unique. The implications of the European mindset probably is that they don't want people to be very different, they just want "regular" people.

In my opinion, I believe that the U.S beliefs is a better mindset because that is allowing people to know they don't have to be like everyone else. When people are told they can be different, they can be their true selves. Knowing you don't have to be ordinary, allows people to see they can achieve many things because everyone will have a different imagination, ideas, and a different way of looking at the world.

If people are told they have to be the same, it will get them used to just doing things to get by, not really expanding and learning as a person. To add on, everyone being the same or ordinary will make them get in the mindset that they don't have to accomplish great goals, because they are just fine the way they are. Therefore, allowing people to be different can really make them a better person, create and achieve goals, and do great things with their lives because they are not like everyone else.

  7. The U.S is right everyone does have the right to be special and no one should change that. That makes them who they are in the inside and the out. Europe should know that ordinary doesn't really have a meaning because they is no ordinary everyone is different and unique in their own way. Everyone has their own special thing that makes them different from everyone else, that makes them stand out. That's what makes a person special, themselves.

He is right, everyone does have the right to be special. The U.S believes in freedom and that's what being special is, free. If they have the right to be free they have the right to think that they can be who they are and who they wanna be. No one should take that freedom away from them. The better mindset is the U.S because they believe in letting people be who they are in the inside and out.

The U.S mindset is that they don’t care who you are, they just want you to be who you wanna be and who you wish to be. And to be special in your own way. A way that makes you happy. Europe mindset is being “OK” and no one knows what OK is. Its just a word that supposedly has a definitions in Europe. Be who you are that's all they really matters.

  9. I think being ordinary is not OK for everyone. I believe that everyone should be different in their own little way. If everyone didn’t have their own little flavor or style the world would be a very bad place to live in. It would be weird for everyone to be alike and act the same. Could you even imagine how the world would be today?

Yes , he is right this is how it is. Everyone in the United States is allowed to be special in their own way. You practice whatever religion you want to . Also you can dress any way you want to. People might judge you but who cares.

He is right like I had stated before and the mindset that would be right is that the one the US stated. That everyone is special in their own way. Just sit and think about would you be able to live in a society where you aren’t allowed to express yourself. I believe that Europe is totally wrong in my opinion. 10. Well, everyone is special in a good or bad way. Indeed everyone has the right to be special, but society does not show this. The rich and famous are always seen as better then everyone else but in reality we are all the same. Society has a habit of only showing their deeds and not their flaws, which in our eyes we see that they are perfect, they are special.
Everyone should be special, we all have a good quality that we can contribute to this world. Everyone can act, but if they are not seen on movies or T.V why bother making them fell special. People, even little kids can sing and have wonderful voice, but they don't have albums. In this world you must show people your talents in order to feel special and be apart of something. I think that people should do them and not do what everyone else thinks is cool because you will be seen as follower and not a leader.
The government also has a big part of this. They sometimes do not allow people to express themselves, like tagging on a empty ugly wall. Its considered vandalism. In reality it's an act of art but since people see "special" in a different way they see others definition of special as a frown upon. We do have the right to be special and feel special even if it means being an outlaw. Breaking the system is something we should consider if we want the world to be something, to feel special and express themselves as they please.

  12. I think this is being very straight forward for some people maybe not everyone. I believe that everyone should be different in their own way not everyone is alike or different were just ordinary people. If everyone didn't have their own way of doing things differently some people or this world in plural everything would be destroyed. How has the world changed from in the past of people to now? good or bad?

Yes he is right because that's just how people are someone is different in their own way and to me it's ok for anyone to be ordinary. Everyone no matter a baby, blind person, elder, kid, teen, adult whatever we all are special in are on way. It shouldn't matter what religion you are or they way you dress or speak. Be you and nothing more people are going to judge but you shouldn't care god made you who you are for a reason be happy who you are.

He is totally right. He's speaking the truth about how people are ordinary or different. Like I said before everyone is different no one is alike. Everyone is special in the own way in their own way and their is nothing wrong with that. If I were to take a walk and just sit down for a minute and think about who I am or the society I live in. I can't say or tell how it is you can't express your feeling towards it. I personally believe that Europe is wrong for that statement but it's not the cause of the world today. Just like how our country is messed up because of the job loss and the economy we all need help. Although you will meet people with common interests or similar backgrounds no one in the world has same exact personality or traits as you. That is what makes a person special and unique. No person will ever live a life exactly the same as yours no one will go through the same troubles or experiences that you will in your lifetime.

  14. Dear reader,

This quote is very straightforward, but also irritating. Europe is mostly saying that everyone should be be ordinary, which means normal with no special or distinctive features. Europe should not be prejudiced just because they aren't ordinary.

The US has the right motto/creed because they're not judging anyone who's not or are ordinary. Everyone in the world has a special thing, but isn't recognized because of where they come from, or who they hang around with. For example, if a child can act and sing , he/she wouldn't be recognized because agencies only focus people can afford them or people that aren't in a lower class stage.

SO everyone should have a chance at being special, or being different. Just because your ordinary or “special” in some kind of way, doesn't man you don't have a future ahead of you that you can't accomplish.!

  15. I think everyone does have the right to special because everyone is different. I would say this because it doesn’t matter who you are or what you are because you are you and thats perfect. No one else can try to be you because you are that special and someone will notice it. It just takes time. That’s just the way life is but you’ll notice it will become better when time passes by.

In Europe I’m in the middle when it comes to being ordinary because most people are more than ordinary. Everyone is more than ordinary because you are not like other people you are you and only you. People might be into the same things but they are still different. To the people with the same things in common (best friends) you are still different.

This explains what I’m thinking because people are being different from each other. Just like in the movies everyone is special and sometimes they keep it to themselves and only themselves. I agree with the US. phrase because everyone is special.

  16. Dear Reader

I think the US has a good and strong belief in what they say on how everyone has a right to be special, because they do. Having that something special about you, makes you who you are. People think of you for that special reason and it makes you feel good that your different. Every one has something special in them even if they feel they dont. I think the US say this because they have a strong opinion on how they feel everyone is special in some kind of way.

I dont think its right for Europe on how they say its okay for everyone to be ordinary because its not well at least in my opinion is isn't because think of how a world would be if everyone was the same. Life would be boring everyone would be doing the same thing and have the same opinion, nothing would be exciting or anything. People need to be different it helps the world come to life more, it brings great ideas from others and brings them together to a better idea.

So i feel that the United States have a better opinion then on what Europe feels or thinks. Everyone has there own opinion at the end of the day which makes them different, but i do hope other people would not judge others on how they are different because that well be really sad if they do. People should be happy to be different because it takes great people who are different to become something great in life.

  17. The U.S is correct to say that Americans have the right to feel special. People that consider themselves to be special are right everyone is special in some way they can be special to others as well. People can be unique and not like the others. They can feel more comfortable being themselves than to be someone else. I think if someone was special like children that have a very bad health or a sickness were not special there would be no hope in them to survive.

I think that people who consider themselves to be ordinary and not special is because they don't think they are worthy, well i think that all people can be special if they want to be and if they want to standout or be recognized for being themselves and not being recognized for being someone else. I think that Europe believes that everyone might think that they feel fine being called ordinary but everyone wants to be special and not be ordinary like others.

The U.S is right for thinking that everyone can believe that they are special because all that matters is that they believe that they are special. When people believe that they are special everyone will start to believe it and then they won't be ordinary anymore and be different instead of being similar to others. being ok can be fine but they must be something else than be plain ordinary there must be a little bit more unique and different.

United states knows and is sure that everyone is special.

I cant believe Europe doesn't see that people should be special or can be special. I just don't think is right, because like I said who want to be the same. Who want to act exactly like their parent or their friends. I know that is wrong and I wouldn't want to act like my friends or my parents.

  19. I think this can be sad because people do not see themselves as who they want to be or what they want to do they just follow other because they think it is fun. Which US has a point that anyone can be special and be who they want to be in life. While Europe does not understand that people are special and different there's not one person that is the same like you. I know for sure that everyone has their own taste and interest in life and nobody may not have the same.

No, Alain de Botton may be wrong about Europe because in that perspective I think he may be looking at them at a far but not really close to them. Europe may do something different that we may not know because we can not actually see it right then and there. I may say that the US is ordinary because we do the same thing everyday we might not notice it but others can. I knew I would always have something important to do everyday right after school. That for me is something ordinary to me because it is a daily thing. Alain de Botton maybe right or maybe wrong because we are just listening to it but not watching it from our point of view.

The mindset in the US is to be yourself and do not let anyone tell who you can or can not be when you grow up to be whomever you want to be when you grow up. You may sometimes need help and follow other to strive that should only happen rarely because you are yourself. In Europe it may be saying that you are the same people. You do everything the same so you are ordinary. Which is wrong to say to people because they might think they can not succeed in life. We should encourage others to be themselves and do whatever they want to do when they grow up. Do not tell anyone their is a specific way to walk, talk, or do anything just let them be who they want to be.

  20. The quote That say everyone has the right to be special is outstanding.I believe that every person in the world has the right to be special because not everyone is ordinary. There is a lot of different kind of people. Being an ordinary person is boring because everyone would be acting as the same person and won't have their own sense of style.IN this case many people i know would not be tha same. We all have different character. We decide how people could view us and why because of our actions.

Being ordinary does not make any sense. Being your self would be much better, but i can understand why it would help others with the fact that people don’t like them because of their genes, their race, or even their personal background. This is bullying if people were just ordinary then there will be equality and the world would be different. People would not view someone by their looks, their character, their class. It would all be equal.

This can also be a way of dictatorship. No one will be able to joke around and be able to communicate the way we do today. It’s more of like being a boring person only following rules that they are commanded to.As you see, there are many possible ways that being ordinary will affect someone in one way or another. This affects us as a whole. It will affect you ,it will affect me, and the rest of us.

  21. I do think that everyone has the right to be special because nobody is the same and so they are so special in their own way. However, if anyone wants to be ordinary, then they have the the right to be considered just ordinary and not special. I think it is just up to how the person wants to be tough of. Yet, not everyone will think of them as special or ordinary even if they want to. However, I believe that everyone being tough as special would be better. This will create a more positive mindset for people and so they can try even harder at what they do. Maybe they can just enjoy their life more because they are in the mindset that they are special. By thinking that no one is like you, it can be a really good thing because it would help you think better and more positive in what you do. You will know that you have something that nobody else has and you should appreciate yourself more.

  22. Dear reader,

What i think about is that everyone should feel special at one point in their life. Because if someone does something right you would like to get a compliment on it or an reward. And people would know that they had done something right and it makes them feel good, or even happy, and makes their day. And I disagree with Europe, that being ordinary should be ok for everyone. Because by being ordinary just makes life boring or that person boring because their is nothing motivating them to do something. So people would just be like zombies, because no one feels happy and such but instead people are feelings dull, and gloomy everyday.

I think what would make a good mindset is by people should feel special at one point because people like to get noticed by others even though they don't’ know them that well. But they know that other people have noticed them that they don’t see in a daily basis. So I agree with the U.S on how every should be able to feel special because of the types of things that they do or try to do can get them to do more things in the future and have confidence doing it.

And they would have a better live because they are not scared to show the world what they're capable of doing, even if its something that might be strange but their just discovering new things. And if people were to follow Europe’s thing which is to be odd, it will make every so not out there. Meaning that people wouldn't try new things out or they would just stay hidden in the shadows, or maybe become depressed. Because everyone is the same and doing the same which is being ordinary and its boring to be ordinary. Because you don’t really do much at all. So I agree that everyone should feel special at some point in their life.

  23. I believe that everyone has the right to feel special. Everyone has their own talents. If everyone was the same, the world would be so boring. We won’t be able to experience new things. We won’t know who we really are, what we like, and what our talents are. Therefore, I agree with the US belief that everyone has the right to feel special.

There are many people that could be sick mentally and physically, and people think that they’re not special. Just because someone is sick doesn’t mean that they’re not special. The smartest person is sick, but with all the talents he practiced made him so smart. People judge by looks and not talents nor personalities.

Many people all over the world need to stop making people feel special because of what they are, their type of class, and how the look. We need to look at talents. We all have a talent that could be different from the person that sits next you. I honestly believe that what makes someone special are their talents. Many people don’t feel special because no one like pays attention to them and because they’re shy. If people stop being shy and show their talents, there is a high possibility that people will appreciate them.

  24. Instead of people being consider ordinary everyone should be considered special for their own reasons. For example, many people in the world may have some similarities or like the same thing, but that doesn’t make them the same person; for, they just coincidently likes the same thing. Which is why no one is the same( ordinary) they’re special.
Since no one is the same (ordinary), everyone should be holded as special because no one has the same talent like someone, everybody don’t speaks the same language as someone, nor does anyone look exactly alike.. Which, no one has the same goal as someone. No one has the same potential as anyone. Someone ordinary, is someone who doesn’t have the same mindset as you;which, makes them special and not ordinary.
Since no one is the same as anyone else that means no one should be called ordinary, Someone being ordinary basically means that they’re basic, and they don’t have any talent or can’t do things that others can. Being ordinary means everyone is a like and no one is getting credit for their ability when credit is due. Which is false, everyone should get their props when needed, no one should be categorized like someone else. Which is why everyone should be considered special.

  25. I do think that people do have the right to be special in their own type of way, because no one on this world would be seen as the the same nor would anyone want to really be the same as others, it would just soon make that world its self boring. I don't really agree with what Europe has the people of their town thinking of holding down.

I would disagree with that actions the Europe are taking an are thinking, by them to be holding down ordinary as okay for everyone is what i believe should not be held down, because everyone has a different way of expressing them selfs , by this is might just make people feel like they are just in a cage acting as if they cant act who they are.

but at then end of it all i do think that everyone in this world does have the right in some type of way to be special and no one should be denied that anywhere in the world.

  26. I believe that being ordinary is an okay thing because some people never discover their talent,so they never know what they are good at or not.Being ordinary is away to keep yourself in the basic skill level that everyone around you should already have in them.

I also think that no one in this world is not born special. everyone has something that they can do that surpasses the normal level of human nature. Ones true talent is always in them they are born with a gift ,but everyone has not yet opened it.

Ordinary people don't get to show this talent because they are too afraid to show people what they are capable of and that people will try to use them to explode that talent for negative reasons.

  27. It shouldn’t matter who is ordinary or who is special because we all think differently. Everyone has a talent or something special in them, it can even be something really stupid like saying the ABC’s really fast. We all don’t have the same mindset as everyone else does, we can think singing, dancing or drawing are the main important talents, or reading at a high speed or even writing poetry can be a talent, we all don’t think the same. Everyone has their own way of thinking, their own way of judging, everything. Nobody should feel inferior than the other, because in the end, we all are the same.

I disagree with Alain’s statement. As I mentioned before, we all have our own mindset and don’t have anything similar to the other. We may consider some people special through talent or through their academics, we have different meanings to the word ‘special’. Besides that, everyone should be happy with who they are, either a nobody or a somebody, whatever makes them happy. Whoever is special or whoever is normal shouldn’t matter since we all still get jobs, we all still go to the same school, everyone should feel equal rather than inferior. Even if people like to feel that they are more special than others so be it, we don’t do nothing because its their way of thinking, their life and mind.

Here in the US everyone believes that we all possess a talent, anything that makes us special from the person in front, behind or beside you. It’s true, we all have something that makes us different from one another, but we all shouldn’t feel too special, because then those people who believe to have nothing would feel even worse. In Europe, everyone shouldn’t feel so equal, makes me think they strict equality and reinforce it, but we should all have the right to be ourselves, just not feel inferior. Not sure how Europe is, but with what they said makes it sound so strict, stuck up possibly. We all should feel how were suppose to feel, just don’t reinforce it or do it on purpose. In other words, don’t make people feel low, inferior in other words.

  28. Dear, Reader

I believe that everyone is special in their own little way. I believe that they have something special to give to the universe. Yes he is right because everyone is special and they have that right to be special. Yes this is how it is because everyone is special but they are also ordinary in their own way as well. This is how he is right on how they are look at people, so they could be able to be special or ordinary in their own way.

I believe that everyone has the right to be special. The reason that I believe that, is because everyone is special in their own way and they have the right to be special. So this is why this is the better mindset because the people should be special if they want to be special. Many people are special because they are special. I believe everyone is special well at least in my eyes because everyone is special.

I believe that the implications of the U.S. mindset is that everyone is special but some people might not think that because they might say that no one is special. The implications of the Europe mindset of being ordinary is that people might think that people are ordinary but not ordinary because they think no one is ordinary. This why I believe that being special is the right thing that was said from the U.S. So I believe the U.S. makes the better mindset to me.

I don’t believe that every person should be special because not every person is worthy of being special. People who crime and murder, for example, shouldn’t be deemed special for what terrible things they do to people. Also, some people don’t have respect for anyone and only care for themselves, not even helping those in need. I believe Europe is right because being yourself is something to be proud of and you’re not following the crowd.

I believe that Europe has the better mindset than the U.S because as I have said, not everyone can be deemed special due to their actions. You shouldn’t deem a criminal for being special for what crimes he has done, nor can you deem a random person for being special just because of his many achievements. People should be unique, too, but they shouldn’t be deemed special just because they are different- we are all the same in some way.

The implications of the U.S mindset is that we are all special in our own way. Although we are all unique, we shouldn’t all be deemed special as it does not show that we are similar to one another. The European mindset is that all people are ordinary. I agree with this because it makes us seem that we are all similar to one another in some way and we still keep our unique abilities.

  30. I think Being ordinary is okay for most people but when others want to stand out they do act different and also believe that everyone is different and not ordinary everyone is unique in their own way from a type of good to bad uniqueness.

yes i do believe Alain was because you don't always have to be ordinary you can also have that funny personality that you conceal inside, But yea he was correct in his response saying that being ordinary is ok and everyone is special in their own way.

I also believe that being ordinary is the better mindset because you know that since you are not expected to high expectations like being perfect or outgoing you are not under too much pressure of doing what others want then what you want yourself to become . I also believe that Europe's mindset is better because them stating that being ordinary should be ok is a comforting feeling then having expectations to follow.

The implication on the US's mindset is basically saying that you also have a right to be special and different just like the Europe's but I believe that europe saying it better because they are basically saying that we can be the casual normal human being we want to be and have no worries as well as the us's mindset but in my opinion they are similar but europe stands out more to my standards for the best mindset

  31. I think that every one in the whole world should have the right to be who ever they want to be and so I agree with the U.S that everyone has the right to be special. Not everyone in the U.S are not special but they have the right to be special. Which is also why I disagree with Europe where everyone should be ordinary. Many people want to be special or ordinary.

I think that many people in the U.S are ordinary because we do the same thing everyday repeatedly for example, going to school every day, doing chores everyday, going to our job. But some people are also special in the U.S where they do something different everyday.

I think that many people Europe are not even ordinary which is why many of them come here to do U.S so that they can be someone special. The U.S mindset is to be yourself and to not let anyone tell you the way you should be because you have the right to be anything.I guess the mindset for Europe is to just be ordinary or do what others tell you to do. Which I think is not a good idea. I Mostly agree with the U.S mindset where you can be who ever you want to be.

  32. Well I personally believe that being special is best for people because then the world wont be so boring, but I'm not saying ordinary is bad. I just think people would be more interesting to hang out with. Since everybody would be ordinary, people would be boring and simple. On the other hand, its better for people to be special because it'll bring more excitement to the world and their abilities to do certain things others can't.

Being special is okay for anyone because to be successful in the world they'll have to have something special about you that others don't have. In addition being special will give the other people entertainment and you'll end up being their role mode and the person to look up to. Also, there's nothing wrong with being special, it gives you the spotlight because you'll be different than others.
In contrast, being ordinary will be so boring because everybody will be the same and you won't have fun with people. You wont have nothing to look forward to with your friends. Furthermore, there wont be any memories with your family nor friends. Europe made the wrong decision and saying that its okay for people to be ordinary. I personally think the U.S has the right mindset towards people being special, its totally fine for people to be special because it'll give people the choice of wanting to be who they want to be.

  33. Dear reader,

When I read the quote from Europe it seemed wrong to me. The reason why this quote seemed off to me is because this quote basically says that everyone should be the same. Now that part aggravated me because imagine a world with people who are just like you. It will be crazy an BORING. The quote from the U.S makes more sense because what their quote says made sense to me.

I think that the U.S quote is much better because everybody should feel special. People in the U.S who does a good deed will make them feel special. Wouldn't you feel special is you did a good deed. Of course you would! I would too. The point is that people around the world have a different mind set and that is true. Additionally, the best part about this quote is that it doesn't say everyone ordinary ore okay to people.

Europe's quote, however, is aggravating because why should everyone be the same. It will be chaos if everybody was the same. Why? Because if this happened to everyone in the world, no war would start because everyone would agree with the exact same thing, no sports would be born because everyone will go for the same team, the world history would change, there will be only one religion, and people would agree with everything. If everyone has the same mindset, living in this world will be boring. I think Europe's quote is dumb. I believe that people in Europe are different, so why does this quote even exist. Overall, I agree with America's mindset much more than Europe's.

  34. I belive that everyone is special in the own way. Everyone deserves a chance to be special and express who they are. To feel comfortable with theirselfs. I do think that it's ok for people to be special because not everyone is alike. Being different is ok and you shouldn't care what others think. Alain de Botton is right. Having to be special is a good thing, that means that you are different from everyone else and that what maeks you special. If everyone was the same then how could we tell everyone apart. No one will have that thing that makes them pop out and be different.

Everybody has to be different. Loving and caring people sets apart from people who are mean and rude. You wont have nothing to look forward to with your friends. There wont be any memories with your family nor friends. Europe made the wrong decision and saying that its "okay" for people to be ordinary. I personally think the U.S has the right mindset towards people being special, its totally fine for people to be special because it'll give people the choice of wanting to be who they want to be. This helps them be more confindent about themselfs because they can express who they are with out anyone judging them.

To help people feel more free and comfortable the U.S is right people do have the right to be special if they want to. Unlike in Europe it's not just "OK" for peole to be special. Beging a special person is just fine. People should be allowed to be what ever they choose to be. If anyone has a problem then oh well to bad for them. Can't change who a person is just because they are different from everyone else. No one should be worried about what others do because it's their life and they can choose to live it however thy want, and people shouldn't care. Everyone has something special about them and if we didn't then this would be a boring world because everyone would be the same and always do what another person does. Consequently, everyone should have a right to be special no matter what.

  35. I believe that every individual has the right to feel special about themselves and others. Everyone has rights to express their emotions and opinions about themselves. What the main idea is about this is being comfortable within yourself because if you're not people will eat you alive or you may become your worst enemy. No one in this world is ordinary because we are all unique in our own individual way as humanly possible. I will quote Orson Welles "Create your own visual style…let it be unique for yourself and yet identifiable for others."

If everyone wasn't different we wouldn't know what it's like to be what's beyond ourselves. We all have so much talent that we don't realize that we do have it. My talent is music did I choose it? Nope, I like to say it found me. That's how people have to think you were chosen to create something great and worthwhile. There is no one who is the same in this world. Maybe they do have similarities but they are not the same person.

The United States of America has offered a great opportunity for people to make them feel rich and themselves. While Europe makes you feel like you don't belong and they have any sympathy for your feelings. I'd like to say that people in America are very fortunate to have and create something unique with their lives. You don't have to pretend to be anyone, you get to show the world what you are made of and accelerate on who you are and how you became it.
